WARRANTY POLICY

NKC Warranty Policy

At Neeve Knife Co., we build knives meant to work, not just sit pretty in a drawer. Every blade we produce is engineered with performance, reliability, and longevity in mind. If something goes wrong due to craftsmanship or material defects, we’ll take care of you. If something goes wrong because someone tried to baton a concrete block with a pocket knife… that one’s on them.

This page outlines what is covered, what isn’t, and how to submit a warranty claim.

1. What Our Warranty Covers

We stand behind the quality of our knives. Our warranty protects you against:

1.1 Manufacturing Defects

Any issue caused by improper assembly or craftsmanship, including:

  • Misaligned blades or hardware
  • Locking mechanism failures
  • Incorrectly installed pivot
    systems
  • Handle or scale defects caused by
    factory error

1.2 Material Defects

Problems related to steel, scales, or hardware materials:

  • Premature chipping or cracking
    due to bad material batches
  • Steel heat-treat issues (with
    normal use)
  • Weak or defective springs,
    crossbars, or washers

1.3 Functional Failures Under Normal Use

If your knife stops working the way it should when used for real-world EDC tasks, we’ll make it right.

2. What Our Warranty Does Not Cover

Listen, we love our customers, and we bend over backward to help. But here’s what we cannot replace
for free:

2.1 Damage From Misuse

Including but not
limited to:

  • Prying, batoning, or using the
knife as a screwdriver, crowbar, chisel, hammer, or anything else that
    would make our designers cry
  • Throwing the knife
  • Disassembling the knife
incorrectly (stripped screws, lost parts, cross-threading)

2.2 Cosmetic Wear and Tear

Normal signs of use:

  • Scratches on blades or handles
  • Patina or finish wear
  • Pocket clip wear
  • Minor play that develops over
    long-term use

2.3 Sharpening and Edge Damage

  • Rolled edges
  • Chips from hitting metal, bone,
    stone, or other hard surfaces
  • Over-sharpening or incorrect
    sharpening

2.4 Loss or Theft

We can fix a knife.
We cannot fix someone “borrowing” it forever.

3. Warranty Period

3.1 Knives

All NKC knives come
with a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering manufacturer and material
defects for the life of the product.

3.2 Accessories and Gear

Sharpeners, pouches,
hardware, and accessories include a 1-Year Limited Warranty, covering
defects in materials or construction.

4. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

If something goes wrong, we want to help and fast.

Step 1: Submit the Warranty Form

Visit our Warranty
Request Form (linked below on your site). Provide:

  • Your order number
  • Photos or video of the issue
  • A brief description of what
    happened

Step 2: Our Team Reviews the Claim

We evaluate each
submission individually. If the issue is covered, you’ll get:

  • A repair
  • A replacement
  • Or a comparable item if the
    original is no longer available

Step 3: Ship the Item (If Needed)

If we request the
product back:

  • You are responsible for initial
    shipping to NKC
  • NKC covers the cost of return
    shipping

We try to process
claims within 7-14 business days of receiving your item.

5. Modifications and Aftermarket Work

We love mods just as much as you do. But mods can cause issues.

Our warranty does not cover damage caused by aftermarket modifications, which includes:

  • Regrinds
  • Reblades
  • Recoats
  • Third-party hardware
  • Scales not made or approved by
    NKC

If the mod didn’t cause the problem, we may still approve the warranty. Just don’t send us a Franken-knife and expect miracles.

6. International Warranty

We accept international warranty claims. Customers are responsible for:

  • Shipping to and from NKC
  • Any customs duties or taxes

We handle the repair or replacement the same way as domestic claims.

7. NKC Satisfaction Promise

We stand behind every knife we ship. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, let us know within 7 days of delivery and we’ll make it
right. This includes:

  • Replacing the item
  • Repairing the issue
  • Or providing another appropriate
    solution

This promise only applies to issues present upon arrival and separate from warranty-covered manufacturing or material defects that appear later in the knife’s life.
